Muhammad & Books:-

The Quran has numerous very important verses regarding the books of previous revelations. Allegedly, there were books or scrolls revealed to Adam, Noah, Abraham and others, none of which are mentioned in the very Bible to which Muhammad and his Quran are alluding to.

2: 87 "We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of Apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit.  Is it that whenever there comes to you an Apostle with what ye yourselves desire not ye are puffed up with pride?  Some ye called impostors and others ye slay!"

2: 285 " The Apostle believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord as do the men of faith.  Each one (of them) believeth in Allah His angels His books and His Apostles "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His Apostles." And they say: "We hear and we obey; (We seek) Thy forgiveness Our Lord and to Thee is the end of all journeys."                                        *** If the Quran says that Allah makes no distinction between the prophets then why does Muhammad claim superiority over all the others?***

3: 3        It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step) in truth the Book confirming what went before it; and He sent down Law (Of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to mankind and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong)……: 64        Say: "O people of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: that we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not from among ourselves Lords and patrons other than Allah."  If then they turn back say: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's will)…….
*** The Quran is of course utterly wrong regarding the Gospels since they were NEVER 'revealed' to Jesus. The Gospels were written DECADES after his death by unknown authors***

3:84        Say: "We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham Isma`il Isaac Jacob and the Tribes and in (Books) given to Moses Jesus and the Prophets from their Lord; we make no distinction between one and another among them and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)….. 184        Then if they reject thee so were rejected Apostles before thee who came with clear Signs Books of dark prophecies and the Book of enlightenment….187        And remember Allah took a Covenant from the People of the Book to make it known and clear to mankind and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs and purchased with it some miserable gain! and vile was the bargain they made!.... 199        And there are certainly among the people of the Book those who believe in Allah in the revelation to you and in the revelation to them bowing in humility to Allah: they will not sell the signs of Allah for a miserable gain! for them is a reward with their Lord and Allah is swift in account.
*** It was exactly because the People of the Book did not hide their revelations that Muhammad was able to base his cultic beliefs upon the foundations of their religion***

4: 54        Or do they envy mankind for what Allah hath given them of His bounty? But We had already given the people of Abraham the Book and Wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom.
*** Why should the Jews envy Muhammad since the Torah was given to mankind also***

4: 131        To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth.  Verily We have directed the people of the Book before you and you (O Muslims) to fear Allah.  But if ye deny Him lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth and Allah is free of all wants worthy of all praise…..136        O ye who believe! believe in Allah and his Apostle and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). And who denieth Allah His angels His Books His Apostles and the Day of Judgment hath gone far far astray.

5: 5        This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you.  The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them.  (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers but chaste women among the People of the Book revealed before your time when ye give them their due dowers and desire chastity not lewdness nor secret intrigues.  If anyone rejects faith fruitless is his work and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
*** The Quran is yet again wrong in asserting that the food of the Muhammadans is lawful to the Jews, since it definitely is not***

5: 15        O People of the Book! there hath come to you Our Apostle revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book and passing over much (that is now unnecessary): There hath come to you from Allah a (   new) Light and a perspicuous Book.
*** No human being, past, present or in the future can ever show that the Quran is superior in any way shape or form to the Hebrew Bible***

5: 19        O people of the Book! now hath come unto you making (things) clear unto you Our Apostle after the break in (the series of) Our apostles lest ye should say: there came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil): but now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil): and Allah hath power over all things…..44        It was We who revealed the law (to Moses); therein was guidance and light.  By its standard have been judged the Jews by the Prophet who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will by the Rabbis and the doctors of Law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book and they were witnesses thereto: therefore fear not men but fear Me and sell not My Signs for a miserable price.  If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed they are (no better than) unbelievers……59        Say: "O People of the Book! do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us) and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"……. 110        Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! recount my favor to thee and to thy mother.  Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom the Law and the Gospel. And behold! thou makest out of clay as it were the figure of a bird by My leave and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave and thou healest those born blind and the lepers by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave.  And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the Clear Signs and the unbelievers among them said: `This is nothing but evident magic'.
*** There is not a single factual, historical or theological truth in any of the above verses.
1        The People of the Book did not disapprove of Muhammad because he believed in Allah, since they  believed in him for centuries before he was born, as the Quranic verses themselves assert. They disapproved of Muhammad because he was claiming prophethood that they knew very well that he was false.
2        No where in the Gospels is there mention that Jesus made clay birds and he breathed life into them like God did with Adam. This verse is based upon what is considered a 'heretical' gospel.
3        The Quran, contrary to the New Testament version of events -that Jesus was crucified, died on the Cross and was raised from the dead on the third day- asserts that Jesus DID NOT DIE. This would of course neagte the whole edifice of Christianity***

6: 89 These were the men to whom We gave the Book and authority and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new People who reject them not….91        No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)":  Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought? a light and guidance to man: but ye make it into (separate) sheets for show while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not neither ye nor your fathers."  Say: "Allah (sent it down)": then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling. 92        And this is a Book which We have revealed bringing blessings and confirming (the revelations) which came before it: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her.  Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book) and they are constant in guarding their prayers…..154        Moreover We gave Moses the Book completing (Our favor) to those who would do right and explaining all things in detail and a guide and a mercy that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord.

10: 94         If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in nowise of those in doubt.
*** With this verse, the Quran advises the followers of Muhammad to consult with the People of the Book regarding its own veracity***

13: 39        Allah doth blot out or confirm what He pleaseth: with Him is the Mother of the Book

16: 44        (We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them and that they may give thought.

17: 2        We gave Moses the Book and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs."

20: 133        They say: "Why does he not bring us a Sign from His Lord?" Has not a clear Sign come to them of all that was in the former Books of revelation?

26: 196        Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples.

28: 52        Those to whom We sent the Book before this they do believe in this (Revelation);

29: 46         And dispute ye not with the People of the Book except with means better (than mere disputation) unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say "We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)." 47        And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee.  So the People of the Book believe therein as also do some of these (pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject Our Signs.
*** The verse asserts in crystal clear Arabic that the god of the Jews and the god of Muhammad are one and the same: Allah***

32: 23        We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be not then in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to the Children of Israel.

35: 25         And if they reject thee so did their predecessors to whom came their apostles with Clear Signs Books of Dark Prophecies and the Book of Enlightenment.

40: 53         We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance and We gave the Book in inheritance to the Children of Israel

45: 16        We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command and Prophethood; We gave them for Sustenance things good and pure; and We favored them above the nations.

46: 12        And before this was the Book of Moses as a guide and a mercy; and this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust and as Glad Tidings to those who do right
